Support and networking for agencies

The Sexual Violence Action and Awareness Network (SVAAN)

The Sexual Violence Action and Awareness Network (SVAAN) is run by Lilith R&D. It is a network of around 50 organisations that provide support services to women who have been raped or sexually assaulted, from rape crisis centres to statutory services such as the police, court services and health centres.

It is aimed at organisations based in London, but it is also open to national members.

The SVAAN coordinator within the Lilith team is funded by London Councils and the City Bridge Trust.

How does the network operate and what are the benefits of joining?

Regular meetings: The network meets every two months at Eaves’ offices in south London to learn about information on funding opportunities, best practice, consultations and legislation. Guest speakers, whose work is of interest to members, are often invited.

Please note: these meetings are for voluntary sector members only.

Monthly newsletter: All members receive a monthly newsletter covering any important information needed between meetings. Monthly updates.

Please note: this service is for ALL members.

Access to Lilith conferences and seminars: ALL members receive free or discounted places at Lilith conferences and seminars, as well as priority places.
